Vinson Day 7: Rest Day at High Camp
I woke up to a rather unpleasant surprise this morning to find out my 1.5L Nalgene pee bottle cracked in the middle of the night and leaked in a small part of the tent and on my backpack.

The temperature fluctuation inside the tent last night and this morning was pretty impressive. While the sun was blocked behind the mountain from 2 AM until 7 AM, the temperature dropped to -5°F/-21°C but once the sun hit the tent, the temperature was as high as 79°F/26°C.

Today we simply rested and didn’t do much around camp as we’re getting ready for tomorrow’s Summit bid.
